A Fantastic Three Days at Neuroplaces Expo 2026

Connecting with the Neurodiversity Community 

Last week, George had the pleasure of representing Ambispace at Neurodiversity Expo 2026, and what an incredible experience it was. 

Over the three-day event, he spoke with a diverse range of visitors, from someone living just a mile away from our headquarters in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, to attendees who had travelled from as far as Japan. These conversations reinforced something we see every day: as modern life becomes increasingly busy and demanding, the need for sensory-friendly spaces, quiet rooms, and environments that support wellbeing, focus, and emotional regulation continues to grow. 

The event brought together professionals, educators, healthcare providers, employers, parents, and neurodivergent individuals who all shared a common goal: creating more accessible, inclusive environments where people can thrive. 

Why Sensory Spaces Matter More Than Ever 

Today's schools, workplaces, healthcare settings, and public spaces are recognising the positive impact that dedicated sensory environments can have on wellbeing and productivity. 

While sensory rooms and sensory regulation spaces are often associated with supporting autistic people, individuals with ADHD, and other neurodivergent individuals, their benefits extend far beyond this. Calm, thoughtfully designed spaces can help reduce stress, improve concentration, support emotional wellbeing, and provide a place to reset during challenging moments. 

As awareness of neurodiversity, accessibility, and inclusive design continues to increase, organisations are actively looking for practical ways to better support their communities, employees, students, and visitors.

At Neurodiversity Expo 2026, Ambispace was proud to showcase our range of Sensory Nooks, bespoke sensory rooms, workplace wellbeing spaces, and inclusive sensory environments. 

Designed and manufactured in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, our sensory solutions are installed throughout the UK, helping organisations create calm, comfortable environments tailored to their unique requirements.

Many conversations at the expo centred around the growing demand for school sensory rooms, SEND sensory spaces, and environments that help learners feel supported both academically and emotionally. 

Educators shared how dedicated sensory spaces can help students regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, improve concentration, and enhance engagement with learning. These spaces are becoming an increasingly valuable part of creating inclusive educational environments where every learner has the opportunity to succeed.
