Ambispace Celebrates 10th Anniversary!

Doncaster Sensory Room Design Company Celebrates 10th Anniversary Ambispace

What an incredible milestone, AmbiSpace officially turns 10, and we were thrilled to celebrate alongside Kevin Wheatley, our amazing AmbiSpace team, and fantastic local Doncaster businesses including Autism Plus, Doncaster Chamber, Dolphin ICT, Treo Recruitment, Yorkshire Rose College, Harrison College, Intec Office Supplies, Aspire to be, Wayne Sables, Clean N Bright, Outwood Academy, Exceed, Amy’s House, Mental Health Football Club and many more who came to show their support.

It meant so much to see so many people join us and recognise the work we do to support and empower the neurodivergent community through sensory‑inclusive design, advocacy, and innovation. Your presence made the celebration even more meaningful.

A special thank you goes to Abbie, who even came in on her day off to celebrate with us, a true reflection of the passion and dedication that drives AmbiSpace forward.

Here’s to the next decade of impact, inclusion, and creating environments where every neurodivergent person can thrive and achieve.

A Sensory Nook is the answer. Designed specifically as a compact sensory room alternative , it offers the same functional environment using a fraction of the space.

Live theatre can be a powerful, emotional experience, but for neurodivergent people, the noise, crowds, and bright lights can quickly become overwhelming. That’s why the Broadway musical "How to Dance in Ohio" made an important step toward accessibility by incorporating Sensory Nook pods both front of house and backstage. The pods offered the production's actors and audience members quiet spaces to relax in, away from the loud intensity of the theatre. The Nooks accommodated sensory needs in the overwhelming environment.

Recently, we once again celebrated young entrepreneurs from across South Yorkshire at the Primary School Enterprise Challenge 2025 Finals. After sponsoring the event last year, we were thrilled to get even more involved this time around—our MD Kevin Wheatley and Design Team Manager Brendon Markham both joined the judging panel to help decide the winners.
