Announcing the 2026 PSEC Champions

We are thrilled to share that the winning school for the 2026 Primary School Enterprise Challenge Finals is Burton Road Primary School from Barnsley, South Yorkshire. 

Massive congratulations to the Cozy Corner team, both students and staff, who's thoughtful, and beautifully themed four‑season sensory room design captured the judges’ attention. Their concept balanced creativity with practicality, resulting in a space that feels comforting, inclusive and deeply considered. As the grand prize winners, Burton Road will receive a bespoke sensory room designed and built by AmbiSpace, bringing their vision to life within their school. 

Why Sensory Rooms Matter 

Sensory rooms provide safe, calming environments that support students with: 

• Emotional regulation 
• Reducing overwhelm 
• Improving focus and readiness to learn 
• Accessing one‑to‑one support 
• Building confidence in busy school settings 

They are especially valuable for neurodivergent students, offering a space where sensory input can be controlled, comfort can be found, and wellbeing can flourish. 

Yesterday’s finals were a powerful reminder of what young people can achieve when they are encouraged, supported and given the space to dream big. We couldn’t be prouder of every school that took part and look forward to the next years PSEC Finals.
