Willow Primary School Sensory Nook Prize Install
Kevin Wheatley takes break after sensory nook installation at Willow Primary School in Doncaster

What a brilliant moment for AmbiSpace, and a huge shout‑out to Willow, Kevin, Wheatley, Luke and Richard, who went above and beyond to install the Sensory Nook that Willow Primary School in Doncaster, Yorkshire, proudly won in last year’s Primary School Enterprise Challenge (PSEC) Finals.
Their teamwork, care and dedication turned the installation into something truly special. Every member of the crew brought their best, ensuring the school received a calming, high‑quality space that will support students for years to come. We really do have an amazing team at AmbiSpace, and this project is another reminder of the passion they bring to every school we work with.
Why Do Sensory Nooks Matter?
Our Sensory Nooks provide a safe, enclosed and calming environment for individuals with sensory needs, especially those within the neurodivergent community.
They help students:
- Regulate during moments of overwhelm
- Focus in a quiet, distraction‑reduced space
- Access one‑to‑one support without sensory overload
- Connect with a friend in a calm, comfortable environment
For many children, having a space like this can be the difference between shutting down and feeling safe enough to re‑engage.
This Year’s PSEC Prize
We’re excited to share that the prize for this year’s PSEC Finals is even bigger, a full sensory room designed and built by AmbiSpace. We can’t wait to see which school will take home this life‑changing space.
Celebrating our team, celebrating inclusion, and celebrating the schools who work so hard to support their students. This is what AmbiSpace is all about.
